1. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in any Virtual Math Academy program or using our website at virtualmathacademy.ca, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. About Our Services
Virtual Math Academy provides live, virtual math tutoring programs for students in Grades 2–9, aligned to the Ontario Mathematics Curriculum. Our programs include the Summer Readiness Program and the School Year Program, delivered online via Microsoft Teams.
3. Enrollment and Registration
Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment or a deposit as specified at the time of registration. Spots are limited and are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Virtual Math Academy reserves the right to decline enrollment at its discretion.
4. Payment Terms
All fees are listed in Canadian dollars. Payment is due at the time of enrollment unless a payment plan has been arranged. Virtual Math Academy accepts major credit cards and e-transfer. Prices are subject to change for future programs but will not change for confirmed enrollments.
5. Refund Policy
- Full refund if cancellation is requested 14 or more days before the program or term start date
- 50% refund if cancellation is requested 7 to 13 days before the program or term start date
- No refund if cancellation is requested less than 7 days before the program or term start date, or after the program has begun
- Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method
6. Program Delivery
All classes are delivered live via Microsoft Teams. A stable internet connection, webcam, and microphone are required. Virtual Math Academy is not responsible for technical difficulties on the student’s end, including but not limited to internet outages, device failures, or software issues. Missed sessions due to technical difficulties on the student’s end are not eligible for refunds or make-up classes, however session recordings will be made available.
7. Session Recordings
All sessions are recorded for educational purposes. Recordings are made available to enrolled students and their parents for 7 days following each session. Recordings may not be downloaded, shared, distributed, or published without the express written consent of Virtual Math Academy.
8. Code of Conduct
Students are expected to attend sessions prepared, respectful, and ready to learn. Virtual Math Academy reserves the right to remove any student from a session or program without refund if their behaviour is disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful to other students or staff.
9. Privacy and Personal Information
Virtual Math Academy collects personal information including names, email addresses, and grade levels for the purpose of delivering our programs. 10. Intellectual Property
All course materials, workbooks, recordings, strategy sheets, and other resources provided by Virtual Math Academy are the intellectual property of Virtual Math Academy. Students and parents may not reproduce, distribute, or resell any materials without written permission.
11. Limitation of Liability
Virtual Math Academy provides educational support services and does not guarantee specific academic outcomes or grade improvements. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific program in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
12. Changes to Terms
Virtual Math Academy reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
